A Project of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) aimed to provide long-term strategic directions for the development of Southern Luzon ports in Kawit, Marinduque; San Agustin and Magdiwang in Romblon; Lucena City in Quezon; Taytay/Malampaya, Roxas, Brooke’s Point/Batazara, Rizal/Punta Baja, Linapacan, and Balabac Poblacion in Palawan; Caminawit and San Jose in Mindoro Occidental; and Mansalay and Pola in Mindoro Oriental. The master plans and feasibility studies evaluated the technical, operational and economic feasibility, and financial viability of the proposed improvements in and expansion of the selected ports in the Southern Luzon Ports District.
CEST, Inc. as lead firm reviewed and updated existing oceanographic, meteorological, seismic and related studies characterizing the physical and natural conditions as basis for the preparation of engineering designs and operational guidelines of the selected ports; Conducted demand forecasts and based on that, prepared the master plans for port development involving improvement and expansion programs; Prepared the conceptual designs for improvement and expansion; Formulated the operational plans for each port; Prepared financial and economic analyses, financial projections, and conducted preliminary environmental examination.
