The Project was realized with funding from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) in support of the thrust by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) to improve and expand the water supply systems in five growth cities of Tuguegarao, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Kalibo and Davao. The project resulted to rehabilitated and additional distribution pipelines and appurtenances, new production wells, and additional reservoirs, pumping houses, and related electro-mechanical facilities.
CEST, Inc., as associate firm, conducted studies on efficient water district management, social impact assessment, implemented institutional strengthening program, and knowledge-transfer training for water district personnel. Assessed physical losses through leak detection, and provided construction supervision services.
