Engineering design services involves the preparation of conceptual designs, preliminary engineering designs, and detailed engineering designs of the architectural, civil, structural, and electro-mechanical components including instrumentation and control. The delivery of these services also requires the conduct of field investigations and engineering surveys such as topographic surveys, subsurface geotechnical investigations, geological and soil studies, among others to confirm actual site and ground conditions to be used as basis in the design of the structures and facilities. The outputs for these services are comprised of the design report which includes the results of the engineering surveys, design calculations and analyses, design drawings, technical specifications, bill of quantities, cost analysis and cost estimates, and construction plan and methodology.

CEST’s engineering design services account for 7% of the contract cost and 5% of the total number of the project portfolio to date.
